1. Do you Strategize?
Yes
A. Does your customer have a decarbonization plan with milestones? If so, please share your roadmap/plan.
Not answeredB. Have you or your customer completed Sustainability School? If so, please share the Sustainability School completion certificate
Not answered2. Do you Digitize?
Yes
A. Are you helping a customer deploy centralized utility data management and monitoring software for energy and carbon analysis and reporting?
As part of our digitisation of the buildings electrical infrastructure the project included the establishment of digital connectivity with key components of the electrical distribution system including, air circuit breakers and circuit protection devices in the main switchboards; backup generator control and fuel transfer system PLCs; automatic transfer switches; uninterruptable power supplies; and variable frequency drives. The building operator has committed to the future deployment of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in the buildings carpark and planning is underway to integrate the chargers with the electrical infrastructure using EBO.
B. With your help, is a customer metering major energy loads to uncover opportunities to reduce energy consumption and emissions?
The decarbonisation strategy for Aurora Place primarily involves firstly, the digitisation and integration of building components including the HVAC system, the electrical infrastructure, access control system and other building services through the new integrated communications network (ICN). Secondly, the utilisation of the new energy management system (EMS) to identify excess energy usage and optimisation opportunities. Thirdly, to use the capabilities of the EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO) platform including its ability to incorporate and act on external data (e.g. weather data) to realise and maintain optimal building energy consumption.
C. Are you helping a customer monitor energy efficiency and equipment performance to gain actionable insights?
GSTEC are currently in discussions with the building operators regarding the use of Schneider EcoStruxure Building Advisor or other cloud based analytics product to provide monitoring and insights into building operations to support the sustainability objectives.
D. Are you enabling a customer to use power management and monitoring solutions to assess power quality and increase business resiliency and continuity?
GSTEC are currently in discussions with the building operators regarding the use of Schneider EcoStruxure Building Advisor or other cloud based analytics product to provide monitoring and insights into building operations to support the sustainability objectives.
E. On behalf of a customer, have you deployed innovations to maximize the efficiency and digitalization of their operations?
Yes as per the above.
F. Have you implemented asset upgrades and modernization programs for a customer to optimize and increase the longevity of their plant equipment and avoid emissions ?
G. Have you embraced the digital integration of power and process for a customer as a way to minimize energy consumption while optimizing their process?

G. Have you equipped a customer to aggregate distributed generation assets to maximize economic value and grid impact?
No
H. Are you helping a customer reduce carbon emissions by focusing on energy efficiency and decarbonization in their operations?
yes as stated previously above
I. With your help, has a customer reduced their carbon footprint through modernization projects that focus on energy efficiency and decarbonization?
yes as stated previously above
J. Have you helped a customer implement practices to increase energy efficiency in their operations?
To achieve our sustainability goals during the project, we planned and managed our activities on site using best practice environmental management principals such as: • Building facilities team provided an allocated storage area within the building for the temporary storage of recycling material • All paper and cardboard packaging was returned to GSTEC warehouse for disposal via GSTEC offsite cardboard recycling process • Packing material and fill was returned to the GSTEC warehouse for reuse by the store person • All metal building waste including mild steel, aluminium, variable speed drives, enclosures, cable trays, and ducting were returned to GSTEC warehouse for transport to Sims Metal recycling facility • All redundant or obsolete electronic devices including network controllers, field controllers, electronic field devices were returned to ToxFree for e-waste recycling and certificates will be included in the project O&M manual • All redundant or obsolete copper and aluminium wiring including power cabling, network cables, control cabling, MIMs cable, was returned to GSTEC warehouse for insulation removal and copper and aluminium recycling • To aid in the reducing the use of paper in this project: o O&M manuals will be provided in soft copy and stored on the BMS server o Installation and design documentation including drawings, network diagrams, functional descriptions etc were provided to field staff in soft copy o It was agreed that consultant mark-ups on soft copy were an acceptable form of approval • Consideration was given to unnecessary energy use during the project, including: o The commissioning equipment during normal operational hours where possible o Using isolation to reduce equipment energy loads during commissioning o Ensuring plant and equipment was commissioned and tuned at the earliest opportunity to prevent inefficient operation • Minimising the use of work vehicles on site and encouraging transport to and from site via public transport, included the provision of transport cards to project staff.
